Construction is underway on more than 200 homes in the Highlands at the Grand Prairie, the newest Village in this master-planned community in Hockley, TX.
HOCKLEY, TX – Nov. 11, 2024
Lennar, the exclusive builder in The Highlands at The Grand Prairie, is offering a selection of homes on 40-, 45-, and 50-foot lots, with two model homes now open for prospective buyers to explore. Their designs range from 1,325 to 3,244 square feet, and are attractively priced from the $250,000s to $370,000s.
The Grand Prairie, a sprawling 1,730-acre master planned community developed by Houston-based EMBER Real Estate Investment and Development, is also seeing the construction of 200 plus additional homes, bringing the total number of homes in The Grand Prairie to over 400.
“Our goal in partnering with Lennar was to help provide homebuyers with a variety of price-point options within the overall master planned community,” stated Jeb Kolby, director of development for EMBER. “Between the two villages under development at The Grand Prairie, we’re well on our way to achieving that. There are floor plans available for the first-time buyer, those with growing families who need more open space, as well as those desiring more luxury and quiet places.”
In addition to homes by Lennar, The Highlands at The Grand Prairie will feature green spaces, waterways and a new amenity-rich complex named The Starlight.
Slated to open in 2025, The Starlight will be a central gathering place for residents at The Grand Prairie, offering the convenience of a pool with swimming lanes, playground, pickleball courts and a clubhouse.
Residents can enjoy a range of amenities at The Grand Prairie, all easily accessible via an interconnected trail system that meanders throughout the entire community. Planned features include The Sundancer, a stunning amenity campus with floor-to-ceiling glass windows for outstanding sunset views, meeting and gathering spaces, resort-style pools, a playground, and a splash park. The Overlook offers a 40-foot grass-covered elevation with breathtaking vistas, while the community boasts various waterways, including the 70-acre Lake Ember, along with over 450 acres of parks and greenspace. Zoned to Waller Independent School District, young residents of the Grand Prairie will benefit from quality schools, including an elementary school slated for construction within the master-planned community.
Comfortably off the beaten path yet minutes to various conveniences, The Grand Prairie is six miles west of the Grand Parkway and one mile south of US 290. Homes in the community are currently priced from the mid $200,000s to more than $600,000 and are the product of six esteemed builders including David Weekley Homes, Lennar, Perry Homes, Sitterle Homes, Village Builders and Westin Homes.
